Mother's Day Celebration to Honor Judy Drotman

We will honor the memory of Judy Drotman at this special event celebrating the women in our lives and sponsored by the Drotman Family. Judy was a highly recognized community leader who served Plano selflessly for decades.

The event will also honor Kelley Thomas, recipient of the 2025 Spirit of Judy Drotman Award (See more below.).

Kelley Thomas Receives Spirit of Judy Drotman Award

Kelley Thomas has received the coveted Spirit of Judy Drotman Award created to recognize a woman who has demonstrated a strong history of civic/community involvement, courage in the face of hardship, a positive spirit, humility, generosity and leadership. Previous honorees include Jeri Chambers, and Julie Holmer, Plano City Council member.

Kelley has a long history of community involvement, with an intense focus on public schools. She currently serves as Regional Advocacy Liaison at Raise Your Hand Texas. Read more about Kelley.

Amy is the Sr. Director of the Crow Museum of Asian Art at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). The internationally acclaimed museum, which grew from the collection of Margaret and Trammell Crow, is now the fourth largest Asian art museum in the U.S. She leads the curatorial vision and growth for a public institution celebrating the diverse contributions of Asia..

Among her accomplishments, Amy has expanded the museum footprint to a 60,000 square foot building on the campus of UTD. She also established an international brand for the museum of award-winning educational programs and publications. Read more about Amy
